The Roundtable of the International Business Congress on “Climate Strategies in the Context of Global Challenges”.

The Roundtable of the International Business Congress on “Climate Strategies in the Context of Global Challenges” took place on 14 September 2022 as part of the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The event was opened by a welcoming speech of the Chairman of the IBC Board, Dr. Alexander Medvedev.

The guests of the Roundtable participated in two discussions on the following topics: “Lean production and energy consumption: how to ensure sustainability and competitiveness of the energy sector?” and “Modern low-carbon business solutions: how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and maintain operational efficiency?”

The discussions have been moderated by Dr. Alexander Medvedev (IBC, Chairman of the Board) and Dr. Konstantin Romanov (Gazprom Hydrogen LLC, General Director).

The event was attended by representatives of the IBC member-companies as well as invited guests from China, Indonesia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Germany, Serbia, and Russia.

The participants of the Roundtable considered climate strategies of the energy companies, got acquainted with current climate projects, and heard a report on promising carbon dioxide (sCO2) power plants for the needs of the oil and gas industry.

In total, 77 representatives of energy companies and scientific organizations from 7 countries of the world attended the IBC Roundtable.
