Due to the spread of the novel corona virus and the associated restrictions, IBC President and IBC Board of Executive Directors have decided to abstain from holding a traditional face-to-face Annual General Meeting in 2020 in accordance with the German Act to Mitigate the Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The necessary voting for resolutions in lieu of the 23rd Annual General Meeting was conducted remotely in written form.
By a vote of the IBC members Dr. Alexey Miller, Gazprom PJSC has been re-elected as President of the Congress and Dr. Rainer Seele, OMV Aktiengesellschaft as Vice President – both for a term of two years (2020-2022). Given the received resignations and introduction of the candidacies new members of the IBC Presiding Committee have been elected and the work of the IBC bodies over the past year (2019) has been approved.
