The 5th AGM was held in Budapest, Hungary, on June 4 -5, 2002. The focal topic was «Russia in the Changing Europe». The AGM marked the 5th anniversary of the EBC. Mr. Vyakhirev officially retired. Dr. Alexey Miller, Chairman of OAO Gazprom, was elected President of the EBC. Dr. T. von Heydebreck was re-elected Vice-President. The forum brought together over 200 delegates from 22 OSCE member-states. The hosting party was the renowned Hungarian energy company MOL. The materials of the AGM were published in the Internet in English, Hungarian and Russian.
