On February 28, 2023, the IBC held an International Roundtable in St. Petersburg under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Head of Department of PJSC Gazprom, Chairman of the IBC Working Committee "Industry, Innovations and Prospective Development" Dr. Oleg Aksyutin. The roundtable participants discussed “Prospects for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry in the Context of Global Challenges”.
The event was held in a hybrid format (in-person and online participation in the meeting) and gathered over 100 representatives of companies from Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Germany, Indonesia, Russia, Slovenia. The participants of the session took part in an engaged discussion on the topics presented in the reports: “Prospects for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry in the Context of Global Challenges”; “Hydrogen Energy Development”; “Innovative Technological Development in the Energy Sector”; “The Present and Future of LNG in the Global Market”; “Global Economic and Energy Alternatives in the Face of Global Challenges”; “Overview of Global Energy Markets. Asia’s energy market and its growth potential”; “The Present and Future Gas Industries in Indonesia”; “Participation in the Implementation of “Clean Energy” Project and Industrial Cooperation Projects within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)”.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the IDC Board, Dr. Alexander Medvedev, presented an overview of the activities of the Congress and the calendar of international meetings of the IBC in 2023.
